The following is an urgent message to the NRTA Family:
Dear NRTA Family,
Like many of you, I have watched with a heavy heart as videos and images reveal the devastation caused by recent hurricanes. We are grateful for the numerous organizations and charities nationwide that have stepped forward to support these communities in need.
We at NRTA are especially mindful that some affected by these storms — individuals who have lost their homes and belongings — are members of our NRTA family. Many of whom joined us at the recent NRTA Annual Conference.
THE NRTA TEAM is committed to helping those impacted by natural disasters, especially with immediate needs for food, clothing, and shelter. In support, NRTA is contributing to several organizations on the ground providing essential aid, including:
- American Red Cross: Known for its comprehensive disaster response, including shelter, emergency supplies, and medical care.
- The Salvation Army: Providing shelter, meals, and emotional support to survivors through a dedicated hurricane relief fund.
- World Central Kitchen: Founded by Chef José Andrés, offering hot meals to those in need and supporting emergency responders.
Please join us in keeping all those affected by these storms in your thoughts, and, if possible, consider supporting these vital relief efforts alongside us.
