NRTA and Jack in the Box – a great team!
Jack in the Box is an American chain founded Feb. 21, 1951, in San Diego, Calif., where it is headquartered. Jack in the Box is among the nation’s leading fast-food hamburger chains, with more than 2,200 quick-serve restaurants in 21 states and Guam. The company was the first major hamburger chain to develop and expand the concept of drive-thru dining.
Jack in the Box has always emphasized on-the-go convenience, with approximately 85 percent of the half-billion guests served annually buying food at the drive-thru or for take-out. In addition to drive-thru windows, most restaurants have indoor dining areas and are open 18-24 hours a day.
On Dec. 6, 2021, Jack in the Box acquired Del Taco which has approximately 600 locations in 16 U.S. states.
Jack in the Box is a convenience-driven restaurant chain with a typical building size of 1,350 – 2,400 Square Feet. Food items include a variety of chicken tenders, French fries, hamburgers, tacos and egg rolls.
The company offers a successful franchise program. Its restaurants don’t need much space: a factor that enable it to set up shop in small or shared areas like food courts. Alternatively, its full-size restaurants are always popular draws. This versatility allows franchisees to open their doors in:
- Convenience Stores
- Travel Centers, Airports
- Hotels & Major Retail Centers
