An Urgent Message from NRTA Executive Director Lisa Krizek
Dear Members of our extended NRTA Family,
We are all watching heart wrenching videos and images revealing extensive devastation caused by wildfires in California. Our NRTA Leadership Team is grateful for the numerous organizations and charities nationwide that have stepped forward to support these communities in need.
At the same time, we are especially mindful that some of those gravely affected by these fires are members of our own NRTA family — our peers and our friends.
National Real Estate Tenants Association is committed to helping those impacted by natural disasters, especially with immediate needs for food, clothing, and shelter. In support, NRTA is contributing to several organizations on the ground providing essential aid, including:
- American Red Cross: The American Red Cross goes wherever needed, so people can have clean water, safe shelter and hot meals when they need them most.
- California Fire Foundation: The CA Fire Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization providing emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they protect.
- Los Angeles Regional Food Bank: The LA Regional Food Bank has provided more than one billion meals since 1973 and is continuing this mission right now.
- Boys and Girls Club of Malibu: The Boys & Girls Club of Malibu is directing funds to Malibu community members who have lost their home, been displaced or lost their job due to the wildfires.
Please keep all those affected by this unprecedented devastation in your thoughts. And, if possible, we hope you will also consider supporting these vital relief efforts alongside us.
Thank you.
In Gratitude,
Lisa Krizek
