This 4-part information-packed course, “Auditing Commercial Leases—Uncovering Hidden Profits,” is purposely designed to help both new and seasoned lease administration professionals save money and improve the bottom line.
The first course is presented by Leasing Paralegal Ingrid Kushinsky of Goulston & Storrs, PC. It covers the challenging topic of Percentage Rent. Ingrid has more than 30 years of experience in the field of lease administration, lease management and lease accounting.
The next is led by Paul Nelson and Seth Tenenbaum. It is titled Forgotten Cost Reduction Strategies Worthy of Review and Strategies to Implement. The speakers are both experienced Strategic-Partner, Optimization Specialists with Schooley Mitchell, and will zone in on finding savings in overhead expenses that are frequently forgotten and/or not well understood.
A third course of the series will guide participants through an increased awareness of reviewing and auditing utility expenses. Co-presenters Jeremiah Vigil and Mike Vigil, Vice President of Operations for Utility Audit, Inc, and President and Founder of Utility Audit, Inc, respectively, will teach attendees how to Discover “Gold” in Your Utility Bills and Services by Identifying Overcharges and Finding Refunds.
The final course features a concise overview of types of insurance, common terminology, acceptable supporting documentation needed from landlords, and issues related to reimbursements and allocations. This segment, In the Trenches Guide to Insurance, is co-presented by veteran retailer Teresa Fettig, and insurance industry expert Debby Johnson.
